Cranberry Apple Crunchapple-cranberry

  • 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 apples peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons self rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine apples and cranberry in buttered 8 inch casserole dish. Combine the rest and put on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Double the topping ingredients for more crunch.

  • 4 cups peeled apples (any kind) and chopped into small bits. Put into large bowl.
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Mix all this together and put on the apples

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup oil

Whip eggs by hand and stir in oil
Add to apple mixture and stir well

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a bundt pan with baking spray. Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on the pan before you pour in the batter. Bake for 1 hour.

Apple Crispapple-crisp

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 6 large peeled, cored and diced apples (or 10 small ones)

Grease an 8×8 baking dish. Arrange apples in dish. Mix all other ingredients and sprinkle on top of apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly.

  • 3 cups sifted all purpose flower
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 apples peeled-cored & halved
  • 2 cups water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease one 13×9 inch baking pan. Combine 1/2 cup of white sugar with the ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg; set aside.

Measure sifted flour, add baking powder, salt and 3 tablespoons sugar, and sift again. Cut shortening into sifted ingredients until mixture appears like coarse meal. Add milk, mixing until a soft dough is formed.

Knead dough on lightly floured board for half a minute. Divide dough in half. Roll each half to a 1/8 inch thickness. Cut eight 5 inch squares out of the dough. Place an apple half on each square. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon of the sugar=spice mixture. Moisten edges of dough and bring corners up over apples.

Mix together brown sugar, butter, salt, and water; bring to a boil. Pour over dumplings in pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until apples are tender.

Makes 8 servings. The brown sugar mixture forms a delicious butterscotch sauce around the dumplings.
